PES University campuses
PES says it has four Bengaluru-based campuses and two in Andhra Pradesh, but not all of them are university engineering campuses. For B.Tech, the two that matter are:
- Ring Road (RR) Campus: 100 Feet Ring Road, BSK III Stage, Banashankari, Bengaluru 560085. This is the university’s main address.
- Electronic City (EC) Campus: in Electronic City, south Bengaluru.
The Hanumanth Nagar (HN) Campus is a third university campus with its own fee account. PES’s 2027 admission calendar holds B.Tech orientation only at the RR and EC campuses. The other PES-run sites (PES IMSR at Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, and a few schools) are not part of B.Tech admissions.
PES B.Tech fees
PES publishes one B.Tech fee per branch for its JEE Main quota (the PESU merit seats filled using JEE Main or KCET scores). This is the fee most students searching “PES B.Tech fees” will pay.

Worked example: 4-year cost of CSE
At the 2026-27 rate, four years of CSE tuition is 4 x Rs 5,50,000 = Rs 22,00,000, plus Rs 10,000 one-time, so about Rs 22.1 lakh before hostel, transport and exam costs. The published rate for new admissions went up by Rs 20,000 a year between the two fee pages, so confirm with the admissions office whether your batch’s fee is fixed for four years.
KCET (government quota) fee
Seats allotted through Karnataka’s KCET counselling are charged the CET fee fixed each year by the Karnataka government, not the merit-quota fee above. PES’s fee page has a section for the 2026-27 CET fee, but the amounts were blank when checked in September 2026. Take the figure from the KEA fee notification for the year you apply, not from third-party websites.
PES University NRI admission fees
PES does not publish a fee for NRI seats. Its fee page says that for Higher Fee Category, Management, NRI, Foreign, Sponsored, OCI and PIO seats, applicants should contact the Office of Admissions or write to admissions@pes.edu. Any NRI figure you see on another website is unofficial. Ask the admissions office for the fee in writing, and ask whether it is quoted in rupees or US dollars.
How to get into PES University for B.Tech
The minimum eligibility is 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12 or equivalent, plus a JEE Main or KCET score. PES lists three B.Tech routes:
- Karnataka CET quota: write KCET and take part in the government counselling run by KEA. You pick PES in your KEA options, like any other Karnataka college.
- PESU Merit Quota (JEE Main / KCET score): register for B.Tech at admissions.pes.edu. PES prepares its own rank lists from JEE Main and KCET scores and runs its own counselling rounds.
- Higher Fee Category (management quota): seats can be pre-booked by contacting the Office of Admissions.
Diploma holders with 60% can join B.Tech in the second year through Karnataka DCET or PES’s own entrance process.
Is there a PES University entrance exam for B.Tech?
Not any more. PES used to run PESSAT, but its current B.Tech admission page lists only KCET and JEE Main scores. Most other PES programmes (BBA, BCA, B.Des, law and others) use the “PES Entrance Process”, a slot-booked test or online interview through admissions.pes.edu. The EAC round is the earliest way in: it uses JEE Main session 1 scores, so a strong session 1 score can get you an allotted seat by March.
PES scholarships: MRD and CNR Rao
PES gives scholarships on performance after you join, not on entrance scores. As listed on pes.edu in September 2026:
- Prof. MRD Scholarship: merit certificate plus a 50% tuition fee refund for the top 5% of students by CGPA.
- Prof. CNR Rao Scholarship: merit certificate plus a 40% tuition fee refund for the next 20% of students by SGPA.
- Distinction Award: merit certificate for an SGPA of 7.75 or more.
A student can get only one award per semester or year, and these awards do not apply in the final year. PES also lists corporate scholarships for final-year students, paid teaching and research assistantships, and education loans of up to 100% from Union Bank of India.
Worked example: a CSE student on the 2026-27 fee who wins an MRD scholarship for a year would get back 50% of Rs 5,50,000, which is Rs 2,75,000.
Hostel at PES University
- Boys, RR Campus: run by PES. You need a local guardian aged 35 or over who is introduced to the warden. Student, parent and guardian must attend a briefing session of about three hours, after which the application form is issued for Rs 100. The hostel fee is paid by demand draft to “PESIT Hostel”. Check-in opens at most three days before classes.
- Girls, RR Campus, and boys and girls, EC Campus: managed by Living Space (livingspaceblr.com). Contact them directly for rooms and fees.
PES does not publish hostel fees on its website; ask the hostel office for the current year’s amount.
Is PES University a good choice?
PES sits in the NIRF 2025 Engineering 101-150 band. At Rs 4.5-5.5 lakh a year on the merit quota, the value depends heavily on your seat type: a KCET government-quota seat at PES is charged the state-fixed CET fee instead.
