About MAT Exam:
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is an exam for the students to get admission to MBA and allied programmes in any B-School either national or international. Every Institute in India and abroad considers MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. You can opt for more than 600 B-Schools across India if you pass the MAT exam.

MAT exam eligibility: Graduates in any discipline and Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply for the MAT exam.
You can opt for 2 IBT/PBT+IBT/CBT+IBT/PBT+CBT tests by paying an extra fee of rupees symbol1100/- in addition to rupees symbol1650/-.
If you are going for 2 IBT/PBT+IBT/CBT+IBT/PBT+CBT you will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to the existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes i.e. they can easily select 7 Management Institutes in total.
MAT exam 2022
Candidates can take MAT exam 2022 as
(i) Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test in short (IBT) or
(ii) Double Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test in short (IBT) or
(iii) Paper Based Test in short (PBT) or
(iv) Paper-Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (PBT+IBT) or
(v) Computer Based Test (CBT) or
(vi) Computer Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (CBT+IBT) or
(viii) Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT) combined
To apply for the MAT Exam 2022 register online website link: https://mat.aima.in/ with Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card), Net Banking, UPI or Wallet. The fee details are given below:
For Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT) or Paper Based Test (PBT) or Computer Based Test (CBT) – fees is Rs. 1650/-
For Double Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT) or PBT+IBT or CBT+IBT or PBT+CBT – fees is Rs. 2750/-

Important Notice: Candidates are advised to check the approval/recognition status of various programs directly from the concerned Authorities/ Institutes/ Universities.
AIMA has come across a couple of cases where the aspiring candidates’ MAT score is not accepted by some participating institutes/universities for admission to MBA full-time courses despite their confirmation to AIMA MAT at the time of participation by incorporating their notifications in MAT e-bulletin.
Candidates are advised to recheck with the concerned institutes/universities before applying for MAT.
Admit Card for MAT Exam
All provisionally registered candidates for IBT/PBT/CBT have to download their own Admit Card from the official AIMA website https://mat.aima.in as per the schedule given above.
Admit Card contains Candidate’s Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address etc. The candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the admit card.

MAT Exam Question and Answers:
Question: At what time should I report to the test centre?
Answer: To ensure physical distancing at the test centre entrance, different reporting times will be given to batches of candidates. Hence, it is imperative that you report at the test centre strictly within the reporting time window specified in your admit card.
Question: What document(s) am I required to carry to the test centre?
Answer: Self-declaration in the format made available to you along with Admit card, confirming that you do not have COVID-like symptoms and have not come in contact with anybody who tested positive.
Hard copy (printout) of your admit card, along with any valid original Photo ID proof such as (i) Voter ID Card (ii) PAN Card, (iii) Driving License, (iv) Aadhaar Card, (v) Passport, (vi) Photo ID card issued by any govt. dept., (vii) Photo ID card issued by any recognized educational institution, etc.
For PWD candidates, in addition to the above, a copy of the disability certificate issued by a competent authority
Question: What other items do I have to carry to the test centre?
Answer:
- Suitable/standard mask to cover your nose and mouth properly
- Your own hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle
- Ball Point Pen (black/blue)
- Adequate quantity of drinking water in transparent bottle only
Question: What should I do, if I have or seem to be having fever/cough/cold, etc. or any COVID like symptoms on the test date before reaching the test centre?
Answer:
- You should not come to the test centre in case you are sick or even having any symptoms of sickness such as fever, cough, cold, headache, etc. In case of the same you will not be allowed into the test centre.
- Your temperature will be checked using thermo gun, and you will not be allowed into the test centre if your body temperature is higher than normal.
- You are advised to consult a doctor immediately, and take all due precautions to prevent getting infected yourselves or spreading COVID-19.
Question: Will the test centre be properly sanitized for the test?
Answer: Yes, the test centres will be suitably sanitized in preparation for the test.
Question: Is there any change in process of writing MAT-PBT?
Answer: No; the procedure for written tests will be along standard lines as normal for such tests.
Question: When should I hand over the “self-declaration” duly signed by me, at the test centre?
Answer: The test centre staff will collect the same at the main entry; you will be allowed to enter only if and after you submit the same.
Question: What precautions I should take while entering the mat test centre?
Answer:
- Wear a suitable/standard mask to cover your nose and mouth properly before entering the test centreandkeep it on until you exit after the test.
- Sanitize your hands just before entering the test centre gates as also periodically during the test as necessary.
- Keep safe distance from other candidates as well as test centre staff.
- Test centre staff will be advised to do contactless frisking only. Hence, do not allow frisking by physical touch.
Question: What precaution I should take while writing the test in the test room?
Answer:
- Keep your mask on to cover your nose and mouth properly and keep it on until you exit the test centre.
- Keep sanitizing your hands periodically during the test as necessary, and after every bio-break
Question: What happens if I am not able to fulfil either one or more of the requirements/precautions detailed above or any other COVID related requirement/precaution.
Answer: If you don’t comply with any of the requirements/precautions listed above or in your admit card, or as laid down by the governments; you will not be allowed to enter the test centre or take the test.
