JEE Main College Predictor 2026 — NIT, IIIT & GFTI
Enter your rank and see the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs realistically in reach — tagged Safe, Target and Reach, built on real JoSAA 2024 closing-rank data.
⚠ Estimate only: This predictor uses JoSAA 2024 final-round closing ranks. The 2026 cutoffs will differ — treat the output as a well-grounded shortlist, and confirm against the official JoSAA 2026 data once counselling runs.
This College Predictor compares your JEE Main rank against real JoSAA 2024 final-round closing ranks for every NIT, IIIT and GFTI branch you are eligible for. It is built on the official JoSAA opening-and-closing-rank archive — no estimated cutoffs. It handles your category, the female supernumerary pool, and NIT home-state quota, then sorts everything into Safe, Target and Reach so you can build a JoSAA choice list with clear priorities.

How to Use It
- Enter your JEE Main All India Rank (CRL) from your scorecard.
- Select your category, PwD status, gender and home state.
- Optionally narrow to a branch — or leave it on “All branches”.
- Click Predict My Colleges and read the Safe / Target / Reach list.
What Safe, Target and Reach Mean
- Safe — your rank is comfortably better than the 2024 closing rank. A strong, dependable choice.
- Target — your rank is close to the closing rank. Realistic, but list a few of these, not just one.
- Reach — your rank is slightly beyond the 2024 closing rank. A long shot that can still open up in later rounds.
A good JoSAA choice list mixes all three — a few Reach options at the top, a solid block of Targets, and enough Safe choices that you are never left without a seat.
The Data Behind This Tool
Every closing rank here comes from the official JoSAA 2024 Round 5 opening-and-closing-rank archive on josaa.nic.in — the final round of the most recently completed counselling cycle. The 2024 final round is the best available proxy until JoSAA 2026 generates fresh closing ranks during counselling from 2 June 2026. Cutoffs move year to year with the candidate pool and seat changes, so use this as a serious shortlist, not a fixed promise. When the 2026 data is published, this tool will be refreshed.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the JEE Main college predictor work?
You enter your JEE Main All India Rank, category, gender and home state. The tool compares your rank against real JoSAA 2024 final-round closing ranks for every NIT, IIIT and GFTI branch you are eligible for, and tags each as Safe, Target or Reach.
What data is the college predictor based on?
It uses the official JoSAA 2024 Round 5 (final round) closing ranks from josaa.nic.in — the most recent completed-cycle figures. JoSAA 2026 closing ranks are generated during counselling from 2 June 2026.
What do Safe, Target and Reach mean?
Safe means your rank is comfortably better than the branch’s closing rank. Target means it is close — realistic but not certain. Reach means your rank is slightly beyond the closing rank, so it is a long shot that may open up in later rounds.
Does the college predictor include home-state quota?
Yes. When your home state matches an NIT’s state, the tool uses that NIT’s home-state quota closing ranks, which are usually more lenient than the other-state quota — giving home-state candidates a more accurate set of options.
