Expected All India Rank
—
Estimate based on ~16,04,854 candidates (JEE Main 2026). The official rank list is the final word.
This predictor uses the direct relationship between percentile and rank. Your percentile already tells you the share of candidates at or below you; multiplying the remaining share by the total candidate count gives your expected All India Rank. With roughly 16,04,854 candidates in 2026, the arithmetic is straightforward — so this is one of the more reliable estimates you can make before the official rank list.
The Formula Behind It
Expected AIR ≈ (100 − percentile) ÷ 100 × 16,04,854
For example, a percentile of 99.15 gives (0.85 ÷ 100) × 16,04,854 ≈ 13,641. The predictor adds a confidence range of about ±15% to account for tie-breaking rules and the exact final candidate count, which only NTA fixes.
Because the relationship is direct, the most accurate input is your actual percentile. If you only have marks, run them through the marks-to-percentile calculator first, then bring the percentile here.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the JEE Main rank predictor work?
It converts your NTA percentile into an expected All India Rank using AIR ≈ (100 − percentile) ÷ 100 × ~16,04,854 candidates, and shows a confidence range around that estimate.
How accurate is the JEE Main rank predictor?
The percentile-to-rank relationship is mathematically direct, so the estimate is close. Small differences from the official rank come from tie-breaking and the exact final candidate count, so the tool shows a range. Your confirmed rank is on the official NTA rank list.
Should I use percentile or marks in the rank predictor?
Use percentile if you have it — rank is derived directly from percentile, so it is most accurate. If you only have marks, use the marks-to-percentile calculator first, then bring that percentile here.
